Hace unas semanas, como pudisteis ver en Instagram, tuve la suerte de recibir algunas de las sombras de ojos de la nueva
colección Genesis de
Nabla Cosmetics, marca con
certificado cruelty-free. Tenía muchísimas ganas de probar sus productos, ya que había oído muy buenas referencias, y el saber que todas las sombras de ojos de la colección eran veganas me alegró aún más. De hecho,
la mayor parte de los productos de la marca son veganos, con la excepción de algunos que tienen cera de abejas. Las sombras de la colección las mandaron en el
neceser de la foto, que en la web tiene un precio de
2'90€.
Happy new year, girls!Sorry to have been so disconnected, but I had no computer.A few weeks ago, as you could you see on Instagram, I was fortunate to receive some of the eyeshadows of the new Genesis Collection by the italian brand Nabla Cosmetics which is certified cruelty-free. I really wanted to try their products, because I had heard very good things about them, and knowing that all the eye shadows from this collection were vegan pleased me even more. In fact, most of the products from this brand are vegan, with the exception of some which have beeswax. They send me some eyeshadows from this collection in the makeup bag of the picture, which they sell for 2.90€.
Como podéis ver, el packaging donde vienen las sombras es del estilo de marcas como Mac o Makeup Geek. Estas son "refills" para colocar en paletas, pero también podéis comprar las sombras con caja.
As you can see, the packaging were they have their shadow refills is the same style as brands such as Mac or Makeup Geek. These are "refills" that can be placed on palettes, but you can also buy the eyeshadows with their compacts.
Las sombras no contienen siliconas, derivados del petróleo, parabenes, aceites minerales, phthalatos, PEGS ni EDTA.

La marca tiene unas paletas geniales tipo Z-Palette, pero bastante más económicas. La paleta para 6 sombras cuesta 6€, y te la regalan en la web con la compra de 6 sombras. Las de 12 sombras cuestan 10€, aunque, al igual que con la anterior, con la compra de 12 sombras te regalan la paleta.
The brand has great paletteslike the Z-Palette ones, but quite cheaper. The palette for 6 shadows costs 6€, but if you purchase 6 eyeshadows, they'll give it to you for free. The palette for 12 eyeshadows cost 10€, although, as with the previous one, with the purchase of 12 shadows they give you the palette for free.
El tamaño de las sombras está a medio camino entre las de Mac/MUG y las de KIKO. Contienen 2'5gr. de producto, y tienen un precio de 6'50€. Estas sombras se pueden aplicar en seco y en mojado.
Las sombras metálicas no puedo aplicarlas en mis párpados grasos sin prebase, porque me sacarían pliegues enseguida, pero siempre aplico prebase de sombras, así que no me supone un problema.
La web es genial ya que en cada producto te indica la descripción del mismo, los ingredientes, fotos, y swatches en vídeo.
The size of the eyeshadows is halfway between Mac/MUG and KIKO. They contain 2'5gr. of product, and are priced at 6'50€. These shadows can be applied dry and wet.
I can't use the metallic shades on my oily eyelids without a primer, because they would look bad after a couple of hours, but I always apply any eyeshadow over a primer, so I is not a problem for me.
The web is great because in each product they tell you the description, the ingredients, and they show you photos and video-swatches.
Y ahora, pasemos a ver las sombras.
En primer lugar está la sombra
Narciso, un
marrón claro mate perfecto para looks naturales y transiciones. Pigmenta genial.
And now, let's see the shadows.
First is the Narciso eyeshadow, a light brown with a matte finish, perfect for natural looks and transitions. The pigmentation is great.
La siguiente es
Petra, una sombra de un
marrón cálido con un punto rojizo, que a primera vista me recordó a la Cocoa Bear de MUG, pero la de MUG es más oscura y amarronada que esta. Es de
acabado mate, y la
pigmentación es
genial.
The next one is Petra, a warm brown eyeshadow with a reddish hint, which at first glance reminded me of Cocoa Bear by MUG, but the one by MUG is darker and more brown. It has matte finish, and the pigmentation is great.
Grenadine es la típica sombra con la que se me van los ojos. Es un
tono granada de
acabado metalizado, con buena pigmentación. Como los rojizos son mi perdición, pensé que encontraría alguna similar en mi colección, pero no ha sido así, ya que las sombras rojizas que tengo son bastante más oscuras que esta. Aun así, ésta sombra,
en seco, no es todo lo opaca que podría ser, y gana mucho en mojado.
Grenadine is the typical shade that I really love. It is a pomegranate shade with a metallic finish, and it has a good pigmentation. As I really love reds, I thought I would find something similar in my collection, but I haven't, since the reddish shades that I have are quite darker than this one. This shade, applied dry, is not as opaque as it could be, but it looks amazing when used wet.
Sandyes una sombra que, aunque al principio no me decía nada, la he estado usando muchísimo en estas semanas. Es un tono
gris champagne de acabado metalizado, con una
pigmentación excelente. Me encanta usarla con sombras moradas y violáceas.
Sandy is an eyeshadow that I didn't love at first glance, but I've been using it a lot in those weeks, and I love it! It is a gray champagne with a metallic finish, with excellent pigmentation. I love using it with purple and violet shades.
Citrones una sombra impresionante y súper original. La
pigmentación es
buenísima, y se trata de un
tono verde lima muy vibrante, que en la web describen como "lima dorado". Personalmente, no me veo con esta sombra aplicada por todo el párpado, pero aplicando la sombra en un look ahumado como toque de color en el lagrimal queda chulísima (algo
así, o
así, por ejemplo).
Citron is an impressive and super original shade. The pigmentation is stunning, and is a very vibrant lime green shade, which they describe as "lime gold". Personally, I do not see myself using this eyeshadow all over the eyelid, but applying the shade on a smoky look as a pop of color in the tear duct looks really cool (something like this, or this, for example).
Por último está
Eternity, una sombra
añil preciosa, que en la web la describen como
azul prusia. Esta es la que más me decepcionó en un principio, ya que al swatchearla no era tan intensa como en el godet, pero eso fue antes de leer que las sombras podían ser aplicadas en seco y en mojado, ya que
en mojado gana muchísima intensidad.
The last one is Eternity, a beautiful indigo shade, that Nabla describes as a Prussian blue. This is the one I was disappointed at first because when swatching it was not as intense as in the pan, but that was before reading that this shadows could be applied dry and wet, and this, using it wet, looks amazing.
Aquí tenéis las seis sombras aplicadas sin prebase y en seco. Os recuerdo que también se pueden aplicar en mojado para un efecto mucho más intenso y dramático.

La colección incluye también la sombra
Mimesis (similar a la Sketch de Mac, aunque con distinto acabado, y menos amarronada) y la sombra
Superposition (un lavanda metalizado), que no recibí, pero no descarto comprar, porque
me he quedado con ganas de probar más sombras de la marca.
Además, como vienen de Italia,
no tendremos ningún problema con aduanas, y el envío a España tarda menos de una semana.
The collection also includes the eyeshadow Mimesis (similar to Sketch by Mac, but with different finish, and less brownish) and Superposition (a metallized lavender), that I didn't receive, but I might buy, because I really want to try more shades from this brand.Moreover, as they come from Italy, we will have no problem with customs, and shipping to Spain takes less than a week.
